Acceptable use policy
1. What Hopzup is for
Hopzup is a private device-to-device transfer and temporary browser-side processing tool. It is not a public file host, content marketplace, backup service or anonymous distribution platform. You must have the rights and permissions needed to send or process every item.
2. Prohibited use
You must not use Hopzup to:
- distribute illegal content, malware, phishing material or content that infringes copyright, trade secrets, privacy or other rights;
- share non-consensual intimate material, child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, credible threats, harassment, spam or fraud;
- access devices, accounts or data without authorisation, or bypass pairing, Team, rate, quota, payment or security controls;
- distribute content publicly, operate a file-sharing or cyberlocker service, or use the service as permanent storage;
- abuse Team invitations, device linking, automated requests or infrastructure in a way that harms the service or other people.
3. Your responsibility
You are responsible for the content you transfer, for having the right to share it, and for the recipients you choose. Team members see only content explicitly sent to the Team. Owners and members have no right to inspect another person’s private content.
4. Enforcement
We may suspend access, remove Team capabilities or block abusive devices where reasonably necessary to protect people, the service or legal compliance. We do not review every transfer and cannot retrieve content that has already expired. We cooperate with lawful requests where required.
5. Reporting
Report illegal content, copyright issues, privacy violations, malware or other abuse through the Report abuse page or abuse@hopzup.online. Do not download or redistribute the reported content as evidence. Include enough detail to identify the transfer; expired content may no longer exist.
