How do I connect my phone and computer?

Open hopzup.online on the computer. It shows a QR code and a 6-digit code. On the phone, open hopzup.online and tap “Scan a code”, or tap “Enter a code” and type the 6 digits. Then allow the connection on the computer.

The computer can also type a code shown on another device: tap “I have a code instead”.

Where do my items go?

Everything goes to the device selected under “Send to”. The Send button always names it. Tap another bubble to send somewhere else.

How long are items kept?

Items are deleted 10 minutes after they arrive. The trash icon removes an item at once on both devices; this is final and there is no Undo. With Pro you can keep one file for 24 hours.

A file was not sent

Files over the size limit are not sent, and Hopzup tells you which ones. Uploads continue on their own after a short network interruption. If the page was reloaded during an upload, send the file again.

Shared or public computer

Choose “Shared computer” when you allow the connection, or later in Settings › Devices. “End session” disconnects this browser immediately; closing the browser does the same.

Is my content private?

Content is encrypted on our server while it waits and deleted after it expires. It is not end-to-end encryption. Boomerang tools run in your browser.

Hopzup Team

Team has its own tab. Whatever someone sends to the Team, everyone in it can open for 10 minutes. Your devices and your Boomerang results never appear there. One person can use several devices without another seat. Processing Team files is included, and results stay private until you share them. The Team Owner manages members and billing, not anyone’s private files.

The scanner cannot use my camera

Camera scanning needs permission in a secure browser. Allow camera access in your browser settings and try again, or tap “Enter a code” and type the 6 digits instead.

How do I send text, photos or files?

In Transfer, pick the device under “Send to”. Type or paste text, choose files, or drop them into the composer. With files attached, the text becomes a note that travels with them (up to 280 characters). The Send button names the device that will receive everything.

Boomerang

Boomerang works on this device only. Add a file or text, tap a tool on it, and the result appears in “Your files”, where you can process it again. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you send or share it, and results are gone after 10 minutes.

Team invitations

A Team Owner can invite an email address or create a one-time code. Verify the invited email with the 6-digit code from our email to join. If an invitation expired, ask the Owner to send a new one.

Pro, Team and billing

Transfer works without an account. Free includes 5 actions every 3 hours. Pro belongs to one verified person across their devices. A Team Owner also gets Pro; Team members keep Free for private work unless they buy Pro. Manage an active subscription in Settings. If payments are unavailable, Hopzup says so and charges nothing.

Still not working?

Check that both devices have internet and keep Hopzup open on the receiving device for instant delivery. Show a new code if the old one expired. Contact support with the device ID from Settings, but never include transferred content, passwords or connection codes.
